Mission:

The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) Sofware will belong to the Quality team that is assigned to the business stream « Aeronautics, Information and Security products » (AIS), which is in charge of the development of products. You lead dedicated team and make sure that technical and non-technical requirement, and Quality standards, are met. Supports Products, Bids & Project teams in identifying and resolving problems and you will work closely with  Industry & Supply Chain, Services, Purchasing and Suppliers.

Responsabilities:

• Assure compliance of the quality process in line with the Thales Quality Management System and its according certifications
• Assure quality process in line with the Thales Quality Management System and its according certifications
• Act as the interface between the Bid & Project teams, Engineering teams, production teams
• Liaison with Customer Quality and Government Quality Representatives
• Define, manage and coordinate the necessary tasks with the engineering team in order to realize the functional verifications, validation, qualification and certification of  news products
• Coordinate with the System Engineering Manager and the IVVQ Manager to assure coherence between development, functional verification and certification
• Manage Risks & Opportunities of certification aspects with the Project Design Authorities (= Technical Leader) and propose the related mitigation plans throughout the bid or project

In bid phases:

• Participates in preparing bids and adjusting processes to the context, while making sure that all the stakeholders are involved and that clear governance rules are observed

• Assesses the progress of the bid and makes sure that all the critical steps, decisions and actions have been taken before each decision review, including measures to manage risks and opportunities. Boosts visibility through official support (AQ Advice)

In Project phases:

• Makes sure that the technical and non-technical requirements of the Customer are recorded, understood and managed efficiently by all the members of the Project team
• Ensures that the project deliverables comply with the customer’s requirements and with the applicable norms and standards
• Guides the Project team in defining and adjusting the Project reference system, and validates the resulting plans. Adjusts Quality Assurance actions to make sure they focus on the risks, considering the maturity of the Project team

Profile:

• Engineering degree in Electronics / Telecommunications / Software development
• Working in a Quality Engineering environment and Quality Management System based on EN9100 / ISO9001
• 
  A working knowledge of at least 1 of the following is required: design / Development / Qualification of complex software with embedded HW CSCI, integrating FPGA technology, TCP/IP networking and LAN/WAN environments (switches/routers and servers), knowledge of cryptographic solutions (both SW & HW) is a plus
• You are innovative and creative
• Well organized with extreme attention to detail
• Leadership experience and excellent in cultivating relationships and manage multiple conflicting priorities
• French or Dutch native level and fluent in English
